Neal was one of the first Pros I met. He reviewed my portfolio and gave me some sage council. I have tried ever since to follow his model when asked to do portfolio reviews.

He changed the game.

Just like Kirby, the generations that followed him were all influenced by his work.

Batman, Deadman, X-Men, Avengers, Green Lantern..... all masterpieces.

It is impossible to overestimate the effect Neal Adams had on the comics industry.
While I never met him, he seems like he was a generally good person and wanted to make the world a better place.
And his art was astonishing, especially when compared with his then-contemporaries.
Condolences to the Adams family.
