The world seems emptier knowing Neal Adams isn't around to translate it onto the page.

He seemed forever young and every image he conjured seemed so perfect, unique and effortless, it's hard to believe he's gone.

I bought his books until the end, whether I understood them or not. Loved the way he drew. A unique individual. I miss him already.

Thank you, Mr. Adams. Your influence on JB gave me a love for the medium
that will never die.

Incredibly sad news.

No words can do justice to what he brought to the medium of comic books and to Batman in particular.

RIP

The greatest thing we can leave is a legacy.  That can come in many forms.  I certainly don't know Neil's personal history, but his professional legacy has been cemented for decades.  His Batman is the one that informed my love of the character.  His work on X-Men, only nine issues, is legend.  The name "Neal Adams" in any credits, on any cover, or involved in any series was a sale for me.  He was just that great.

RIP to a master.  He will be missed.

An industry game-changer, both for his contributions and his advocacy.

Thank you Mr Adams.

SO many of the books I bought just because the cover grabbed me were drawn by Mr. Adams.  Some artists you can recognize just because their style is so unique.  Some artists have style, period.

RIP.

Just googled Neal’s art, and one of the first pieces to come up was an inked version of the Batman and Talia pencil piece I watched him draw on my first visit to the DC offices back in 1971.

Still mostly on the outside of the Biz, I asked him if the drawing was for a cover. It was too small, but I didn’t know that. Neal explained the drawing was for a fan, the first time I had heard of such a thing.

A veritable cascade of memories and emotions.
