Welcome to another week of new releases.  I have a short list:

  • Joker #15 - I was going to drop this title, but it's the last issue in the run.  When they renew it, I won't pick it up.  I've had enough of the Joker.
  • Poison Ivy #2 - As a mini-series, it's okay so far.
  • AmazingSpider-Man #5 - I'm just not sure about this title anymore.  Peter Parker needs to have some wins occasionally.  I do like where Robby's son is going with Janice though.

Once And Future #27
Dark Crisis #2
Closet #2
Fire Power #22
Saga #60
Starhenge Book One The Dragon And The Boar #1
Time Before Time #14
Walking Dead Deluxe #42
Amazing Spider-Man #5
Deadbox #3

Note on Spider-Man - Having just caught up, the Tombstone stuff I liked (not quite up to the Conway/Buscema standard, but a noble attempt); the MJ/Peter mad at the world stuff I hated.  DC's "One Year Later" event pretty much killed the appeal of "jumping ahead and filling it in later" stories for me.  Just let events unfold as they do and follow with the consequences.  It's just really jarring to go from "let's move in together" to not taking his calls.  Which was the point I know, but I still don't have to like it. :-)  But somewhere along the way "ups and downs" became "destroy and rebuild" and I wish it would stop.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. So much so in fact, that I sought out the original series. Bad idea. I couldn't get past the art in the first issue. It isn't to my taste.
