Sitting on my patio, listening to one of my taller trees drop nuts.

Sounds like a minor gun battle is happening at the bottom of the yard!

There's a video out there from this year of a cop shooting at an apprehended man in his vehicle after he heard shots fired.

Later video showed an acorn had dropped on his vehicles roof/hood.
The man was unharmed but traumatized.

A guy I used to know was standing next to his car, in his driveway, when he heard a loud KLANG! Looking around, he found a bullet hole in the roof of the car. Someone a few blocks away had fired a gun straight up in the air. In a residential neighborhood!

That's what scares me about New Year's Eve! I never understood why people don't realize what goes up must come down

What I call “Hollywood Bullets” have greatly informed how many—most?—people think bullets work. Hollywood Bullets stop at the first thing they hit—glass, car doors, cardboard, flesh—and apparently evaporate if they don’t actually hit anything. Thus, no conceived danger in firing a gun straight up. Gravity? What?

The squirrels in a place near to me (the Pinewoods) have become very skilled at using acorns and nuts to pelt unsuspecting dogwalkers!

I've been a victim more than once.

We have a black walnut tree in the back yard, that hangs over my garage, which has a metal roof.

It can be quite a scare when those hit that roof when you are outside.

The pops have become quite aggressive. The trees are attacking my house! Some are even bouncing far enough to hit the front door!
