I was ten years old in the summer of 1981 when I received
Fantasic 4 #232 in the mail (I had a subscription).
Opening it, I was appalled - what happened to the art?!
For whatever reasons, I didn't like it back then.
Maybe it was too different from what had come before? In
any case, I did enjoy the story. And the art eventually
grew on me. Now I count John Byrne as one of my all-time
favorite artists. And you're one of my favorite writers as
well.So belated happy birthday to you, sir. And thank you.
