Reminding everyone that making Luthor president did not flow from my brain. In fact, I thought it was a really dumb idea.

Some truly bizarre comments. Is it really possible that so many people cannot grasp the difference between “based on” and “exactly like”?

In this day/age, people live & breath social media without having a fucking clue.

It almost like people who don't know the difference between than & then.

One of the many reasons why this country is barreling full speed towards IDIOCRACY

Well, you clearly have the power to predict dumb ideas, too!

IMO, I think making any establish superhero, supervillain, or supporting character an elected or appointed politician to a major political office is a bad idea. I hated that they made Luthor President and J. Jonah Jameson, Kingpin, and Luke Cage Mayor of NYC. I also hated that they made Green Arrow Mayor of his city, had Black Lightning be a part of Luthor's cabinet as Secretary of Education, and had Tony Stark be (I think) Secretary of State.

It's just a case where this generation of writers believe these are KEWL/BANGIN'/DOPE ideas.

To bring in new or back readers. 😁

It’s true there have been a few generations of pros who say “wouldn’t it be cool is we did THIS?” and forget the next important question: “but then what?”

And the compounding of the ‘wouldn’t it be cool if we did this’ is how you
get to points where characters bear zero resemblance to the character they
used to be.
Just how far removed is Wolverine from who he was in the 70s/80s? How far
is Moon Knight?
Some weather that storm, but some break beyond all repair. I really cannot
see a way back for Wolverine
