I think my favorite parts are all the things in the windows in the background. I'm sure it all amounted to nothing more than some random line work, but viewed as a part of the whole, it LOOKS like stuff you would see in lighted rooms at night in a city.•• This was something it took me a while to figure out. I would do my nighttime cityscapes, and all the buildings looked like crossword puzzles. Slowly, I started roughing up the edges, and increasing the vertical distance between the floors. And then it occurred to me to start piling stuff on the window sills, just as one sees in offices.
