Speaking of Doom’s face, I see in one of their misguided attempts to reveal it Marvel went the staggeringly original route of simply COPYING it from a victim of leprosy in Ridley Scott’s KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Wolv's adamantium skeleton might not have been pure... I think the Canadian government subcontractor would probably have cut corners with something 'just as good' from Sarnia, Ontario, and then pocketed some of the money 'saved'. In the House Of Commons the Weapon X project was probably brought forward once during question period for it's cost overruns only to mysteriously disappear from the record!
I really must never be in charge of X-Men comics... :^D
Just prior to halfway through this issue, I'd said it was looking at being the best issue of the series so far. I think I can say that is the best issue of the series. Excellent beginning and ending, lots of great character moments, surprise guest stars and subplots moving forward.
Doom looks great! Love seeing Mac and Shaman (and Heather), can't wait to see what happens between these two evils, and Wolverine's story too?!? Thank you very much!

ron: This just occurred to me: Do Doom and Magneto have accents?
***
When speaking English, probably, though I'd imagine Doom went to some effort to speak English perfectly. On this page, just the two of them, it's likely they're speaking German, not English, as Doom might deign to use Magneto's first language.
