Cannon should be yanked off the bench and thrown in jail as an accomplice.
She never should have been allowed to hear this case, due to clear conflict of interest. Do you really think a judge - especially one unqualified to begin with - is going to be unbiased when it comes to hearing a case involving the person who appointed them?
Double jeopardy doesn't exist when you're never in jeopardy to begin with.

The fix is so obviously in, bending, looking the other way, pretending implausible deniability is plausible... and yet always it's been Trump whining about conspiracies against him... "billionaire victim" I called him from way back.
Tick tick tick. It'll be after the mid-terms now before many things will supposedly get seen to including restarting this investigation frozen by yet another wee Trump stooge placed strategically well beyond their accomplishment.

I think we can only hope Republicans lose more seats in the midterms, otherwise they are going to make any investigation into Trump just disappear. It's amazing how these cases of open corruption by one individual get hand waved away so casually by a political party.

I’m hoping that Roe v Wade & this exercise enough minds during the mid term that people manage to block out the oil tanker of lies that Trump & his ilk will throw around.
You know it will be nothing but stolen election, unfair hounding, Hillary & her emails.
I really do hope people see that & think, yes, but Roe v Wade, the other things that he’s been lauded to as a consequence of winning that, probability that these top secret documents were sold to foreign governments.
Please people, see this.
I’m also hoping that in the UK people are finally waking up to the Tories putting ordinary people in massive debt, massive inflation, allowing energy firms to keep all their excess profits, removing cap on bankers bonuses, all the while stating that they think our workers should work like the Chinese do, stop asking for pay rises & accept we don’t have a right to paid holiday.
But somehow, people still think they are in the 10% who get the benefit of the positives, when really, they are in the 90% who get shafted. Time & time again.

Be interesting to see how quickly the DOJ can appeal this.

The appeal will be heard by slate of six judges appointed by Trump and five not. So so fair...
Four years in and more judges appointed than most in for eight?

The fact that Trump was EVER allowed to run for president shows us how fucked up our legal system is. LINK

I really did try to inform people about Trump as a conman and a racist before he was elected, there were still some forums that 'allowed' 'politics'. They did not want to know or said Canadians should mind their own business (even though I was quoting friends in NY/NJ who told me things about Trump and Giuliani).
Also, "basket of deplorables" = perfect bullseye! I bet they still whine about that like they whined about Roosevelt's "new deal" for f-ing decades.
Anyway, DOJ now allowed again to proceed with some documents being reviewed but that too is subject to another b.s. appeal by Trump (even if sometimes it's an outright non-appeal where they effectively plead nothing but of course waste more time, tick tick tick). He grew up doing this crap; leveraging debt, leveraging guilt, same difference! Exaggerate on one hand, minimize on another, add in blaming your opponent of whatever you are most guilty of to confuse the short attention spans and viola, he might even be back in 2024 yet.

I still feel Trump will go to prison - the crimes are too audacious and obvious to let him go.
NPR's "On the Media" did a very interesting episode on this, detailing how international modern democracies have grappled with prosecuting, or not prosecuting, their presidents.
On the Media: Lock Him Up?

I'll be curious to see how the NY case regarding fraud is spun in the media. A case that was initiated after the testimony of Michael Cohen can't be called politically motivated and the evidence for this case comes directly from the Trump Organization. I can already hear people saying the number of cases against him proves he is under attack by the establishment, but if he is a criminal wouldn't there also be lots of cases? Silly me trying to use logic in a faith based belief system, but it is hard to give up on millions of people that are being duped by the Lar-a-Lardo.

And that's what he seems to be threatening: "If I'm held accountable the people won't stand for it". hah, he's actually saying there's something to be held accountable for.
