This case is about as open and shut as it can get. Trump took documents he is not entitled to possess; having them breaks several federal laws. DOJ may refer this for an indictment if they feel they can prove this beyond any shadow of a doubt but the facts are the facts: he stole documents belonging to the National Archives and has broken the law.

JB- I wonder what kind of disgrace could happen that would turn his supporters off.

Hasn't he pretty much done everything one can do in a normal society to make himself a paraiah but he's still beloved?

I have an uncle who absolutely LOVES him and anything negative brought up instantly gets a "fake news", "it was rigged" or my favoroite" it's the deep state".

“Fake news” is Trump’s greatest invention.

Coupled with his followers compartmentalization of his persona, we have people believing only what they choose, and voting for the parts they like while ignoring the rest. This is how we see nuns at his rallies. He is, after all, “pro-life”.
