Spider-Man is the best Spider-Man, Nightcrawler is the best Nightcrawler.

It’s very close to apples and oranges. Altho they have certain skills in common, there is much more that is different.

Excellent page as usual. 15 people (not incl Spidey and Nightcrawler) in that last panel - and even though they're small, each with distinct shapes and attire. JB is definitely not a lazy artist

It's an interesting match-up.   Both are very agile.  Kurt has the teleport, but Spidey has his spider sense and a superhuman ability to dodge things.  Although, of course, this does not mean he never gets hit :-)

At the end of the day, though, I would think Spidey's super strength would usually give him the edge.  Perhaps we'll see in the next few pages...

What a fantastic look in on Nightcrawler! With some Spidey thrown in for fun!

Discussion: Page 3, panel 1 - I have never seen a better Spider-Man drawing. Or possibly I have, but I surely can't think of it right now.

I refuse to discuss who's going to win a fight in general. In this specific situation, it seems that Kurt is a little disoriented and handicapped - and when battling Spider-Man, you need to be at the top of your game.

I agree that Daredevil would probably end up losing, but no one mentioned the best choice. Who wins in a fight between Spider-Man and Captain America? Of course, the next question is WHY are they fighting? But I gotta take Cap.

Okay, I'll discuss it. As this is Kurt's "book", I think he takes down Spider-Man with a series of those rapid fire teleport/punch combinations, followed up with a few quick teleports of Spider-Man to disorient his Spider-sense. That's my opinion.

Nightcrawler needs to remember that he was once wrongly accused of murder when he first met Spider-Man, and give the guy a break. Maybe he's still woozy from his injuries? Cool to see the two together once again, in any event.

The art is first rate. What an amazing first panel. To create such a sense of movement in a static image is a real gift. Bravo! Love the look on Nightcrawler's face as well and Spider-Man's dialogue. Always cool to get a different look at a super heroe's power in use and we have that here in that depiction of Nightcrawler teleporting. The instantaneous nature of Nightcrawler's power is one of those things that is a difficult to portray, I imagine, in a sequential medium.

Another great close-up on Spider-Man's face in that final panel.

I'm loving the teleportation effect of just the outline of Nightcrawler! Not sure that I've ever seen that before.

Yeah, that teleportation effect was great.  I don't recall anyone else doing it from the artists I'm familiar with.

"He's really got his lederhosen in a twist!" is such a Spider-Man thing to say. It's great when a character is nailed with so little.

JB is now the Greatest Spider-Man artist of all time. I feel the gravity.
I’ve always loved his take, but, there’s no denying the iconic look of the
character on these last few pages. It’s like JLGL with Superman; you
just recognize. Bravo, JB.

Dig the way that teleport scene ends. We get transported to the
distance with Spider-Man.

Classic writing, too. There has to be some kind of conflict to every story,
and these two having a moment of confusion would make for a good
cover! Just like the classic ASM on the Ferris Wheel!

Thank you JB! So much fun!
(Feel like I’m 14 and I just sent a letter to Fantasic Forum!)
