I've been looking forward to a window of down-time for the team - it's been a wild ride for a lot of successive issues - and as much fun as that is to read, they deserve a break!
And anyway - everyone's gotta love a HQ 'cutaway' spread! :-)
Every issue of Elsewhen simply delights, and reminds me why I fell in love with comics in the first place. Thank you, JB!

If someone from the future told my 1980 self about Elsewhen, 25 issues of it now, I wonder if I could've been able to make any sense of what they'd tell me. I don't think I even used a PC or connected to an internet until late 1982 and then it was still all text (or at best images made with the most basic pixels).

"Ashley's certainly seen more than her share of action ... some of it dating back to XHY. "

Crazy to think that the publishing time gap between now and XHY's last issue is about the same as between that same issue and #143.

Each issue of Elsewhen keeps me wanting more - I haven't had such fun reading X-MEN in years!!!! Such twists & turns... as I've come to expect with our super-talented host!
Looking forward to where this issue is headed. Thanks, JB!

Congrats?Oh, you must be referring to the message I received telephonically yesterday from Publishers Clearing House informing me I have won $1.3 million, a brand new Lincoln (in any color I choose) and $10,000 a week for life. All I have to do is call them back… *** I would trade all of that for your talent! Seriously, I hate coming off like a fawning fanboy, but this is just brilliant. I haven't had this much fun with, well anything, in quite a while. ELSEWHEN really ranks up there with the very best of things. The pacing is intense! I feel like I'm on a wild roller coaster and just when I think I can't handle anymore, it slows down nicely. Though I suspect we're just ratcheting up another great incline...

With an architect father, even as a kid I wondered what was going on in all the space between floors!

Just catching up on this issue and this is fun!
Was expecting two pages and got three instead, which is a nice bonus. The drawing of people and things in perspective is as great as usual.

I remember spending ages looking at some cutaway drawings in some '70s Superman comic; it's definitely something that can work in comics unlike any other medium. One of the big draws for buying a UK Gerry Anderson Supermarionation comics was the two pages cutaways and diagrams by Graham Bleathman!

Aww these first few pages are some of my favourite of this entire Elsewhen run. I love downtime, I love group headquarters and team dynamics. And all done with such gorgeous art full of detail and love.
