I hope to see the death of Mariko you have talked about.

•••

There must have been a better way of phrasing that!!

Anyway, with the changes I have wrought in Wolverine, the dynamic of his relationship with Mariko will have changed. Not knowing who she is, for a start!

The confrontation with Sabretooth still looms, though, albeit at a distance.

I am ready to see Logan's interaction with Jean (Phoenix Force) will she be drawn to his wild side? Will this provide the basis for the Logan/Jean/Scott triangle that fan boys always wanted and fan boys who grew up to be comic book writers pushed down our throats?

Like I said Logan is no more than a muscular Danny Devito...where Scott is the cool dark and handsome.

Wolverine seems to have lost his hairiness after joining Alpha Flight. Was this intentional JB?

This brings that magic back since I picked up my first X-Men issue..121 back in 1979 when I was in the 3rd grade.

The best thing about this series is how it reintegrates the X-Men back into the Marvel Universe with Spiderman, the Avengers, Alpha Flight..etc

It seems like authors are so Hell bent on deconstructing characters and making sure they put THEIR stamp on them and forgetting the golden rule: Leave these characters the same way you found them or at least leave them in such a way that they can be brought back

So again, thank you JB. I pray to God you have plans to do a similiar thing with the FF. I would love for you to pick up from where you left off and bring FF 294 the return of the new look Thing.

I hated every second of the Logan-Jean-Scott triangle, mostly because it was just jaw-dropping stupid. Seriously, Jean entertains the notion of a dalliance with THAT guy?
Hell with that. I'm glad we have a rougher, early-draft Wolverine back but am happier we'll avoid the nonsense shoveled onto the character after JB's departure.

"I hated every second of the Logan-Jean-Scott triangle"

Not half as much as I hated the Logan-Jean-Scott-Emma Frost mess.

Hell-yeah!

You did a commission a while back of Wolverine battling Sabretooth and it popped into my head as soon as I saw the panel where we see him slap the boy-Wolverine. I thought, that is going to come back and haunt you.

However long it takes, the journey we are all on with this series is wonderful. Thank-you.

-edit to add "JB"

Scott Summers fell victim to the same anti-authority malaise that infected Captain America and Reed Richards. The too-cool-for-school fans and pros don’t want to see reliable, even noble stalwarts in lead roles in the books. They want everybody to be Wolverine.

And, to paraphrase THE INCREDIBLES, once everybody is Wolverine, nobody is.

I have always felt that Cyclops was the most underdeveloped character of all the popular super-hero comics.
So much potential, so much unexplored.   < id="protanopia"> < id="deuteranopia"> < id="tritanopia">
