The main difference is that a grown-up puts his/her feet up on a desk. A fourteen-year-old tucks his/her feet under on the couch and checks instagram.

I think the photo argument is a red herring. Choose your battles. We have no idea what she was in the middle of at the time it was taken and many photos taken in the middle of peeping something could be said to show a less 'professional' side of an event.
Man, can't believe I'm defending her.

The issue with that Conaway photo, to the extent that one exists, is not that her feet are on the furniture. It's that she can't be bothered to get out of the way of the photo being taken by someone else. Trump clearly knows a photo is being taken. Everyone else in the photo knows. Conaway either doesn't give a damn about the photographer or she doesn't give a damn about the people being photographed. The notion that its all okay because she may have been setting up her phone to take a picture changes none of that. Either way, she's a self-involved assh*le ruining the shot.

Brian, no offence, but that is nonsense. I feel kind of silly getting into this, because to me it's a non-issue but...
Whoever was photoghraphing Conway, clearly wanted her in their shots.
And clearly there were opportunities for capturing the photo without her:

Forget having your feet up on the couch... who was standing on the coffee table taking that last picture?

The couch thing is fake news. Yes, it happened. But it is an effort to create an issue where there is none, or when there are other issues of greater importance. I'm not a supporter of this administration, but attempts such as this give credibility to the fake news argument.
Journalists need to start practicing journalism.

Yup, and look how many took the bait and discussed it like it was an issue in need of clarification. Can't we just address/discuss the bigger, REAL issues?
Same goes for the journalists out there.

Like the fact the man that is supposed to be leading the investigation into the Trump campaign's possible ties to Russia was actually in contact with Russia while being a member of Trump's campaign team? And that he lied under oath while being questioned during his confirmation hearing when asked about it by Al Franken? Issues like that?

No, it's not. "Fake news" is a term that should be reserved for stories that are provably false. Obamacare including death panels for seniors is fake news. Hillary Clinton is running a child sex ring out of a pizza parlor is fake news. That millions voted illegally for Clinton is fake news.
The story about Conway is trivial news, a classic example of the politically-motivated making of a mountain out of a molehill. This kind of thing does happen more frequently in politics than it used to, and it's discouraging to see people dwell on inconsequential trivia like this and ignore truly important issues. But genuine fake news, and the fact that so many people willfully believe it in the face of disproving evidence, is a far bigger problem for our nation today.
