I'm really not looking forward to the testimony from the fence-sitters who Trump somehow persuaded tonight.

A takeaway quote if there ever was one.

“It’s hard to get any word in with this clown. Excuse me, this person.”

There were a lot of quotables tonight.

Terrible 1st debate.
Of course Trump didn't look
good, but I wasn't
impressed with Biden
either.

Things it should be really
easy to deliver a "knockout
punch" if Trump brings it
up:
-Family members getting
government jobs/payments
-handling of Covid-19
-trusting science,
scientists, medical experts
I thought Biden gave weak,
luke-warm responses to
these topics.
Biden had a mediocre
performance, Trump gave a
nightmarish one.

Went down fairly as expected.

I mean it was a circus, an absolute embarrassment and an insult to the American voters but besides that...

Trump was in control of the thing, Biden mumbled his way down to his level and, in my opinion, lost.

And in a fair world, Chris Wallace would never have a job in media again for the rest of his life.

The next debate is a town hall with undecided South Florida voters. I think the country has earned a lot of its present suffering, but this is beyond the goddamn pale. We don't deserve this.

Well, that was like watching Prime Minister’s question time in the U.K.
parliament each week.

That is literally what that is like - try to talk, everyone shouts over you,
you shout louder, they shout louder, the Speaker shouts ‘Order, order!’
& nothing receives a real answer.

So, yeah, I’m used to seeing that.

Still pathetic mind, but nothing new.

This, however, is frightening
Proud Boys, stand back and stand by

Anybody not realise what your President just did on live TV?

Trump was Trump - which does him no harm with his supporters.

Biden tried to act "tough" and got down into the muck with Trump - did himself no favors.

It used to be that a BIG part of winning a Presidential debate was just to NOT LOSE and to LOOK "Presidential."  That is all Biden had to do and he failed.

Despite the misgivings anyone might have about either debate performance the choice still seems clear. Put a criminal back in office or take whoever is opposing him. This isn’t a Pepsi challenge where two extremely similar beverages are sitting before you. This is the choice of drinking Pepsi or rat poison.

For Dog sake, he just told a white supremacy group to stand by for orders.
