Can't wait to hear the chants of "lock him up"!
Pence used personal email for state business — and was hacked

Fake news.
I didn't even have to read the link above to know it is fake news. Anything anti-administration is fake news. It makes things so much simpler.

"Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia".
It's so much easier when you think this way. Leaves more time for TV watching.

In another move by an over-stepping government to eliminate what it views as a threat, Arkansas lawmakers are looking at a bill that would eliminate copies of Howard Zinn's the People's History of the Inited StAtes from public libraries. Horrifying in itself and even more disturbing for me, since I discussed and receiving mended this very book to some friends, while discussing the current political state of affairs

Pence says there is no comparison whatsoever between him using private email for state business and with Hillary Clinton using a private server for her emails.
He's right that there are differences: one being that her private server was probably a hell of a lot more secure than his AOL account.

State business conducted by it's officials, while likely containing sensitive information dealing with internal state business, is probably governed by the laws and statutes of that state's internal information security system, and has very little comparison with classified information from the State Department having to do with international relations making it's way onto an unclassified network without being properly screened.
Has it been revealed in depth exactly what type of state business was being discussed? All I've been able to sift through so far has been the headline itself with little details.

One element of business discussed by Pence on his AOL account was an update from the FBI regarding the arrests of suspects on Federal-related charges.
There were a number of emails from Pence's account that could not be released because the State of Indiana considers them too sensitive for public release.
So, yes there is a difference between a state governor using all the might of AOL versus the privately-assembled server of a State official.
What do we know for a fact?
We know that Pence compained about the risk of Hillary's email server. and we know that Pence got hacked. As far as we know, Hillary did not.

Interesting. I only ask because as a State employee myself, I have access to my work email (and probably another program or two that are work related) from home via my home computer.Of course, there's probably a little bit of encryption happening on the work end of things, but there's still the risk of intrusion (in fact, we frequently get memos about possible phishers trying to hack into our systems, although it's never spelled out from where and what systems are being attacked).
There's even been a few occasions where, being unable to access my work email, I've had to rip a few messages off to colleagues through other email systems like Yahoo or Gmail to ensure receipt. Nothing of a confidential nature like SSNs or the like, although, again, our agency does have to send our reminders that things like that shouldn't be sent over emails... which indicates that it's widespread enough throughout my agency that reminders DO have to be sent out.
If he was able to email the FBI about the matter, it must have been something of a nature where it was okay to transmit over an unclass network. "Too sensitive for public release" at State, County and Local level can mean a lot of things, few of which approach the levels of handling Secret/TS information at a Federal level.

Now Trump is accusing Obama of wiretapping his new New York office.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger is dropping out of the Celebrity Apprentice after only one season, because of Trump's involvement. Naturally, Trump is claiming Arnold was fired and is badmouthing him.

Imagine that... a show that's been on the air has sagging ratings.
I've gotta think that 90% or more of the Trump/Arnie back and forth is more goodnatured ball-busting than what the press is making of it. Trouble is, Arnie got saddled with the gig in the same way some of the American Idol judges were when that show was limpin' back to the barn.
