Just heard that the Cranberries singer was found dead, only 46 years old.

Incredibly sad news. Another one leaves us tragically early.

This is a real shocker. My first year of University the Cranberries' music was omnipresent.

Heartbreaking news.  I still remember where I was when I first heard "Linger," a song that instantly haunted me, and I thought, "I need to know who sings this."

Followed the Cranberries' career throughout the '90s, but my interest diminished after their first Greatest Hits.  Will be revisiting.

Peter Martin - same here. It seemed like "Linger" could be heard coming from every open window of every dorm room on campus. Just hearing the first few bars, and I am instantly transported back in time.

So sad, and so young, too.

'Pretty' from the second has her voice at its haunting best and was beautifully used in the final naked catwalk scene in Altman's Pret a Porter. Not a great film and probably a tad gratuitous but this scene with that song and her voice left an impression on me.

"Linger" is one of my favorite songs from that era. "Dreams" was great too.
