Safety Dance and Pop Goes The World are the only songs I remember by them, and the latter didn't go over well here in the states. The former merited a parody by Weird Al, though.

I thought the first two CDs by Eiffel 65 (Blue, Ba-da-bee-ba-da-whatever) had a lot of great latter day synth-pop tracks. Really good lyrics for a bunch of Italians too. There's quality in every kind of music, or as an omnivore bear might say, something tasty in every kind of junk! I didn't buy anything from Aqua, but I am guilty of buying a Venga Boys CD... not sure I can justify that one on artistic terms. The Cardigans did some great pop with some synth overtones around the same time, and Everything But The Girl.

If you get iTunes or some other way of checking individual tracks you could investigate the track titles I listed as you might really enjoy them. Glad that at least Safety Dance got out there. I know people loved mocking the video which was deliberately goofy. :^)

The video to Safety Dance is cheesy, but that's exactly why I liked (and still like) it.

Venga Boys? Ugh.
