What's your favorite John Byrne panel? You can only pick one panel. Attached is mine.
When I was a kid I thought I was a pretty good artist. I remember reading this issue as a kid and seeing that panel and just asked myself "How?"
I had no idea how John came up with that pose. I just about broke my pencils and tapped out.

I mean, that's almost impossible. So many favorites for so many different reasons. I'm going to run with your thoughts along artistic abilities and pick an unsung hero from the series that I think is JB's best overall work: Doomsday.1 (even then, I could easily debate amongst dozens of panels, again for dozens of reasons). With that said, eye...um, I chose:

It is a tough challenge because the natural inclination is to go to a cover or a splash page.
From Captain America #253, which is about as perfect an issue as it gets in my opinion. I love how Cap spends much of the issue without his mask on (because he is an actual person with a life, not just a costume). Brilliant writing and brilliant art. Love Cap!

Love both of those panels. And eye agree, it is impossible but a fun challenge. It will be interesting to see everyones favorite panel.

Can I play? There were a lot of panels where I'd allowed myself to think "this guy's good," but the one that really springs to mind is Jasmine throwing up in the bathroom. Something in the whole gesture, but especially her hand.

Was going to go with "Galactus falls" but, since it's a splash page not sure if it qualifies even though it is technically a panel, but I will pick this as it blew my teenage mind.

This isn't my favorite per se, but it is definitely a panel that made me in awe of Cap's skill with his shield.

If possible please delete the previous duplicate post. I broke the system - couldn't even re-edit.

William, would you believe we share our favourite panel. I've always loved it - it shows a gracefulness of flight that I'm not sure I've seen anywhere else (and there's a beautiful juxtaposition when we next see Northstar crashing through the window IIRC).
