Yes, I see that was the plan.  I know I am in the minority on this, but I have issues with the team movies - I guess I just prefer the individual character movies.  There are elements of the Avengers films that just tip the balance for me and pull me out of the world they have created.

In general, I love the humor of the Marvel films, but it’s got to be used sparingly.  Everything about the Scott Lang moment hinges on seeing the film, so it already has one strike against it.  Combine that with the length of the clip, and the moment falls flat.  It’s too long for a trailer and takes up a disproportionate amount of time for such a shift in tone.

All of this. We're going to have to talk about all of this when next we meet.  First I've heard of this from you after having seen nearly all of the Marvel films together.  It's a more nuanced discussion than one that can occur on a message board.

OK, I will talk about this with you, but no hitting in the face this time!  But as usual hair pulling is allowed - that is if either of us can find any hair to pull.

To be clear, I am not saying I don’t like the Avengers films.  I love the Marvel films - they have pulled off the amazing feat of bringing the best of comic books to film with excellent writing and wonderful visual effects.  The sheer volume of films has given us the modern version of the serial action film that died when television came along.

I revisit the movies often enough to gravitate towards the individual character movies, though.  The Avengers films play better as big theatrical events for me - which is great and forgives some of the issues I have when I see it again.

Not sure how Tony is stranded. He was left on a planet with a working space ship with someone who knows how to fly space ships.

Unless Thanos went back to kill/capture Nebula....

Since Nebula is mostly machine now, does she need to eat or drink or breathe? And she may be an expert pilot but that doesn't necessarily mean she knows how to get to a planet she's never been to (Earth).

Maybe something is wrong with the ship. It's not like they had a smooth landing. And he DID say the oxygen would be gone by morning.

Looks like Stark is on the Milano. I don't think the Guardians' landing on Titan was even shown in INFINITY WAR. The ship should be in decent shape...and Earth's coordinates wouldn't be too difficult for Stark and Nebula to find in its data banks.

I guess it could have taken damage during the whole throwing-a moon-at-Iron Man thing, but still...look what he was able to do in a cave with a bunch of scraps.

With the challenges to be faced in AVENGERS 4, I would have thought getting Stark back to Earth would have been among the least of them.

The Guardians’ ship in INFINITY WAR was the Benatar.

Really? Did not know that.

(Though, the Milano was pretty trashed in GOTG2)

Same scenario, tho...perfectly good ship, seemingly.

The Alyssa Milano

The Pat Benatar

Peter Quill is a child of the 80’s for sure.

I speculate that Stark will be rescued by a certain spacefaring heroine......in a moment designed to make the audience go apeshit.

Starlord calls his ship "The Milano" in GOTG at least once.

I wasn't aware of The Benatar. I figured the Milano got rebuilt between the end of GOTG2 and IW, since a few years pass.
