I just stayed up all night watching the third season of "Stranger Things" in a marathon viewing. Definitely better than the second season,  which I enjoyed but stumbled a bit. I may even like it better than season one.  I enjoyed the newer characters,  and how some of the other characters have evolved. Season four should be interesting.

Since this season, like all seasons, are dumped on Netflix in one fell swoop I think it needs a SPOILER WARNING from the outset.  Thus it's been added and so may you discuss without fear of spoilage!

Really liked it. Thought the first few episodes went a little too far into campy joke situations, but by the end it was full on & I thought the last episodes were among the, if not the, best of the whole series.

Decent overall but the first few episodes felt a bit packed. We had all these different groups and stories going on. Eventually it converged but it was hit or miss along the way. One solid cast addition in Maya Hawke (daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman) and a few duds.

I think the series has a real problem in that each time around we have to buy into whatever story element they've set up to have the monster(s) return. This time it was Russians. Suspension of disbelief pretty much has to be in full effect for a series based around alternate dimensions, psychic kids and other weirdness. But an entire squad of Soviets operating out of a small town, building a mall to cover their operation and then easily corrupting the mayor seems a bit of a stretch somehow. It did make me wonder if Cary Elwes mayor character would be tried for treason or not. It seems like he should be.

I like these characters and I want them in good stories. I just think that's becoming harder and harder the more this goes along. I'm going to be a lot more wary about season four. Whenever that comes. By that point some of those kids will look like they're in their 30s. The clock is definitely ticking on this series. Hopefully they've got a decent end point mapped out somewhere.

The Duffers have been a little unclear about the exact ending. In various interviews they've said four seasons and in some others they've said five seasons. They know the value in not overstaying their welcome, so either way, the end is nigh.

So, Hopper is the American at the end, right?

I did like the Terminator guy. He even managed to get Arnold's 'scanning' movements in a few scenes.

I went out and bought a Cherry Slurpee after watching the entire thing. (Total brainfreeze too.)

Similar to after Season One when I bought Eggos.
