It was a predictive documentary series that ran Thursdays in Prime Time on Canada’s CTV network for about three years, starting in 1970. The only thing I REALLY remember about it is the opening credits:

HERE

Those credits got a lot of discussion around the lunch table in College. I remarked with some awe how blown away I was by the jetliner crashing head on into the camera.

One of the other guys said “There’s a jet crashing??”

And just think, she’s probably hovering somewhere around 70 now…

Those airplane test crash scenes got a lot of mileage in the seventies.

Yet another decade where we all thought jet packs would be hanging on most household coat racks eventually.

I am mystified as to why they felt they needed a naked
woman in the credits! The subject matter of the show
puts me in mind of BBC`s "Tomorrow`s World"

In the comments a person wrote that his uncle used to say he was waiting for the last episode when the woman would come back out of the water.  Heh!

Yeah, that's not an opening you would have saw in the States on 1970s television.

Around the same time CBS showed a MONTY PYTHON compilation late, late one night, and edited out the phrase "naughty bits" from the Montgolfier brothers sketch!
