Not a betting man but maybe I should consider it
next year...

---------------------

Don't get carried away; you were betting that QT would
easily win best screenplay before the ceremony :)

I always enjoy the Oscars and this year was no
different. Most of the favourites seemed nailed on --
and a lot turned out to be that way -- so it was nice
to have Parasite come in as a surprise for original
screenplay, director and picture.

Renee Zellwegger's speech was excruciating, but many
others were good. Glad to see Brad get his Oscar. My
only gripe (and it is minor) is that the 'single-shot'
movie seems to have become cat-nip for voters in the
cinematography category.

"That's very much the case. Mr. Rogers is not the main character of the film, and while he is obviously a vital presence, he does not have nearly as much screen time as Matthew Rhys does as the journalist.

From what I remember, we only ever experience Fred Rogers through the perspective of the journalist. Someone may correct me if I am wrong, but the film has many scenes of the journalist without Rogers but none the other way around."

Oh, I see. That's what I get for being fooled by the advertising I guess!
I stand corrected. Thanks for letting me know.

The advertising definitely was misleading that way.
