I think that after the abject failure of quality in the JLA movie, from plot,
effects & anything else one wants to name, there has become this myth
that Snyder was creating something much better.

There also seems to have been this re-evaluation, in some parts, of
MOS & BVS:DOJ as decent films.

It seems to be related to the realisation that JL, as released, had very
little of what Snyder intended.

For my part, I hated all three films, in whatever version they exist -
released cut, special extended cut, whatever.

While the Snyder cut may well be completely different to what was
released, I see no reason to believe it would be anything but sepia
toned, out of character, over use of slow motion, mess.

But why let experience get in the way of legend?

I didn't enjoy any of the two-and-a-quarter Snyder movies either. This move back to a Snyder (and Afleck?) led franchise is a desperate attempt for fan attention. But with the theaters closed indefinitely, and their future hinging on HBO Max, who can blame them?

I don't mind Affleck coming back provided that Snyder has nothing to do with the script or the direction.

All DCEU movies going forward should just ignore MAN OF STEEL, BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN, and JUSTICE LEAGUE. (And AQUAMAN, because Jason Momoa wasn't playing Aquaman -- but that's too much to hope for.) Just do quality films from here on out.

If Henry Cavill comes back for another DCEU movie I really hope it's called SUPERMAN, not MAN OF STEEL 2. That'll emphasize the clean break.
