Regarding the polls, the numbers this year are nothing like Hillary's in 2016.

ETA: While the article is over a month old, it's still accurate.  Plus the polling numbers for Biden have increased since Kamala Harris was announced.

Kamala Harris' record as a prosecutor is something only a sadistic conservative would love. So perhaps Biden really has found his Sarah Palin.

When did the hard turn happen for you, Joe?  You've been a member for a very long time, yet you've never exhibited this sort of bullshit until recently.  It feels like you've gone down the Greg Kirkman lane, another forum member who used to be sane but slowly tuned over a number of years.  I'm curious if you even recognize it or have become so inured to it that it feels normal now.

It's just damned odd and, quite frankly, terrible.

I must admit to being confused by Joe’s posts recently.

He still seems to occasionally post that he thinks Trump is the worst &
then posts things like the Sarah Palin comment. It is almost like there
are two different people posting messages from that account.

This, from three years ago, started changing my mind:

Joe Zhang has occasionally used Rod Odom as a screen name.

Crickey - I had forgotten all that, did a google search
and found posts from me written years ago where I knew all
this.

Ugh, that old chestnut? Hard to believe that misguided college students from three years ago are still scaring the bejesus out of adults. I will say that if anyone is afraid of the Left fostering an over reactionary push to correct society, then they should have been a proponent of slowing down the Right’s gross abuses up to this point. Pendulums tend to eventually swing in the opposite direction with almost equal force.

Surely one of the most racist red flags that exists, is
asking someone to prove where they were born.

Out of all the things Trump has done in the past six
years, emboldening the racist and normalising their worst
traits has to be the lowest.

He's pretty crap on women as well, but that doesn't rip
civil society apart the way the racism does. So his racism
wins.

I don't think racism is going to win, at least not long term. I was channel surfing last night, and noticed that every TV show and movie I clicked into had Black leads or second leads. The representation of African-Americans was actually greater than it is in the country!

And, as we know, Hollywood shapes all our thinking.

I've also noticed, and really just over the past months,
that TV commercials are obliterating "caucasian" as the
standard. Any commercial, at any time, can and does feature
any "race." It's amazing.
