Episode two was a little bit Star Wars and a little bit The Mist.

John Harrison: "...nope it was almost like we are going to make this kid way less cute by eating the unborn of a sentient endangered race..."

This was sort of in character. Has everyone forgotten baby "Yoda" eating the frog-like animals in the first season?

Episode three was probably my least favorite so far. Like
everyone else, I also found Baby Yoda eating the eggs
kinda gross. I also didn't believe that the Mandalorian
could fix his ship after crashing like that.

-----

I feel like they only did this because there's going to be
some kind of payback in the next episode. That's why the
mom didn't really pay any attention to it.

*******

Did those creatures have a back story was their mom present was their a risk
to the family line or the species in that episode? Nobody forgot Matt.

You cant establish providence over the eggs within a story then have the baby
eating them multiple times

My favorite defense of "Baby Yoda" involves pointing out that certain species of frogs lay extra unfertilized eggs in order to give their children something to eat when they hatch.

I still maintain that Frog Lady knew what had happened and let it slide. While she was concerned with the overall survival of her eggs, she didn't seem particularly precious about individual ones when the Mandalorian was picking them out of the hot spring.

You can and they did.

Would it be better if they had established the eggs weren't THAT important and that Baby Yoda could have a few?

No, it's supposed to be funny and sort of unexpected to see him eating them precisely because their importance was established.

No offense -- and I really don't mean to be a grammar cop -- but the lack of capitalization and punctuation really made it hard to read what you wrote clearly. Anyway, NONE of that takes away from what I wrote, that it is in character for baby "Yoda" to eat such things.

"Nobody forgot Matt."

You can state this with certainty for everyone?

"You cant establish providence over the eggs within a story then have the baby eating them multiple times"

As Rodrigo pointed out in his post above, (assuming you mean the writer?) of course you can.

Guilty as charged.

As for the rest, we can go round and round all day. I didn't like the episode.

As I watching the recap, I was joking out loud to myself that

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
Bo-Katan and Sabine need to show up without their helmets and call out The Mandalorianís clan for being weird religious fanatics for not taking off their helmets.

I was half right!

Ballsy move in this week's episode - related to Michael's
post above.

Be interesting to see where this lands going forward.
