Evidently there is opposition within the ranks of Christianity. ----------------------------------------- Good, because I cannot fathom how the two can equate to each other. So many people have fallen for a few choice buzzwords/policies - with no consistency.
Abortion control, but blow people away after they are born Abortion control but no pregnancy control, or support for families/children (because it's SOCIALIST!!!!!!!!).
And no love shown, sexism, argumentative agenda/personality.
I could go on.

Seems like the abortion debate exists mainly to raise money from those who vehemently oppose it. If and when abortions are outlawed again....politicians who relied on that platform to rev up their constituents and take in donations might find themselves lacking a weapon for their continued fight.
Its the same way I think many politicians don’t want to see violent crimes end (Despite’s the rhetoric and bluster about ‘law and order’) because its their principle weapon to get them re-elected.
And to be sure...wealthy/well connected women who want/need abortions will have them even after the procedure is outlawed.
The nation is tragically broken.

Human life is SACRED! Human life must be PRESERVED at ALL COSTS! At least, as long as it is a parasitic growth inside another human life. The moment it's squeezed out, it becomes of no importance--unless it happens to itself be female, in which case it must be used to house more parasitic growths, the lives of which will be of paramount importance, even more than the host's. Until they're squeezed out.

She hasn't been a judge for even 3 years yet. She doesn't know case law, she doesn't know the 1st Amendment, and she apparently has no opinion on anything relevant.

"It's a crime to tamper with a jury; it's standard practice to tamper with Congress." Great observation from Senator Whitehouse in that video that Eric shared above.
And he's more than likely right that the big bucks he is talking about are coming from polluting industries.

Her inexperience matters not. She is a living rubber stamp for the conservative agenda in the judiciary.
The ONLY thing that would make her even more appealing to the corrupt shit gibbons behind her appointment would be if she was the absolute bare minimum age to be a SCJ. The younger she is...the longer she can be around to serve her purpose.

Is there any Justice in the history of the US Supreme Court with less experience?--------------------------- A cursory search suggests there are plenty with zero judicial experience. And there are a couple who didn't have law degrees.
I do not think Judge Barrett should be appointed for a number of reasons, but inexperience isn't one of them. I'm curious as to why you think her many years as a highly-regarded professor of law at a leading US university doesn't count as experience towards a job interpreting the law?
This, of course, is on top of a clerkship work for Scalia, while he was a Supreme Court justice. Clerking for a Supreme Court justice is no small potatoes and it's ridiculous to think that this in itself doesn't count as contributing experience on top of her stint as an appellate judge.

I totally agree with you. However, Constitutionally, she’s as qualified as you and I are. You don’t even have to have a law degree to be a Supreme Court Justice. We would prefer it, of course, but it’s not a requirement. Hell, you don’t even have to be a citizen to be one.

There is no bare minimum age. There’s no age requirement at all.

Per the SC website:
QUOTE:
The Constitution does not specify qualifications for Justices such as age, education, profession, or native-born citizenship. A Justice does not have to be a lawyer or a law school graduate, but all Justices have been trained in the law. |
