Ah! Your question was a lot simpler than I thought!

That credits question brings back memories of another (minor) butting of heads with Chris. He insisted on crediting himself as "Author", while I was "Artist" and Terry was "Inker".

I pointed out two things: Given the "Marvel Method," we were equally the "authors" of the work, and Terry was just as much an artist as I was. Chris shifted to

"writer-authors-penciler"

with Terry still "inker".

It was a spasmodic application, as you can see from that list!

Great looking page today! I have been enjoying the space related exteriors with Vuk and this one is also a stunner. Just like when you do a horror image that makes me wonder about a JB Werewolf by Night book, pages like this make me wonder about a JB Guardians of the Galaxy book. Huge thumbs up!

*** Edited because I can't spell werewolf!?

So true. Anybody in doubt about Mr. Austin's contributions to this run should look at his work on the Dave Cockrum & George Perez covers, not to mention the couple that he did solo, as well as Annual #3 (and even later teaming up with Walt Simonson on the Teen Titans cross-over).

Yesterday's page, with Peter, btw, was one that underwent a fair degree of "surgery" eliminating traces of that excised subplot. Surgery, followed by several pages removed entirely.

This is one of the reasons I'm not as far ahead as I'd like to be.

Thanks!

...one of the things I'm most looking forward to seeing here is the rematch between Jean and Phoenix!

••

Just caught this comment.

That would be a VERY short fight!

Great page today as it zeroes in from galactic scales to (super) "human" scales.  This one would be one I'd love to see in color.

Also, good to hear things about Terry Austin, who is my favorite JB inker!

I think the key to inking panel 1 will be representing a galaxy distinctly different from a solar system. The zoom from panel 1 to panel 2 is a few light years!
