If JB's doing it at his current level, I think I would enjoy reading: "Sue Storm and Spiderman take a trip on the subway to get groceries."
@Richard: Annual... :)

I like it! I hope there's a way (a time, a place) to use these pages. I can see where a Skrull story that includes Spider-Man might easily become a foray into telling an FF tale but... I'd love to see it.
Thanks, JB!

I've always loved your Spidey since your run on Marvel Team-Up, JB. Part two of the Woodgod/Hulk story being a particular favourite.
Just simple decisions for this page like having Spidey run along the wall horizontally next to Sue and then hang down from the ceiling by his hands - perfect body language for the character.

That second panel shot of Sue is maybe the best drawing of her you've ever done (IMO, of course). Thank you for posting this!

This is great, thanks for posting! Naturally it makes us want to see more. If this ended up spawning a whole new offshoot - a "Marvel Elsewhen" series as someone suggested earlier in this thread, it'd be awesome!
As for the specific details we see on this page, given the great care John has taken to fit the X-Men Elsewhen stories within the continuity of post-Death of Phoenix X-Men while not being beholden to what other creators did after he left the title, I cannot help but wonder how this storyline may (or may not) fit in with John's run on the Fantastic Four. If I recall correctly, issue 232 was within a year or less of his leaving the X-Men and ran at least through 1986. Sue's appearance matches the pre-Byrne era. Could this story be an "untold tale" of Byrne's FF? I know he's stated in previous interviews that the Super Skrull was the one FF villain he never got to use during his run. This of course makes me think about what Mr. Byrne posted a few several years ago on this very website about what a "Fantastic 4ever" title might be like....the plot summary had the Skrulls in it too, although I wouldn't wish that particular ending on my favorite super group...:)

Easy to see how that could've easily taken over - Skrulls, FF, Spider-Man, oh my. Like everyone else I'd love to see an Elsewhen covering this when you get bored of the X-Men storyline, but no rush. The 'months' timeline for when Sue saw Spidey with the heart thing sounds too soon but comic book time is always variable - I try to follow the old time travel rule from Austin Powers - just don't think about it too much or you'll go cross-eyed.
