JB, the round face immediately reminded me of the creature seen in the opening splash page of TRIO#3...

As a writer, JB has a very good feel for how characters distinctly express themselves. I really appreciate that as soon as Shaman comes into the scene, he sounds individually true to himself. It's not a matter of two characters who easily dramatically differ, e.g., Wolverine and Storm. But even when two characters are more formal in expression, like Xavier and Shaman, each sounds... just like they should, identifiably themselves.
(Part of why I appreciate this even more here is that while I was around as a reader for the debut of Alpha Flight, by the time the group had their own comic, my reading days were done. So, it's just a wonderful thing to be able to quickly "get" a character essentially new to me by dint of his diction and syntax, etc.)

Magnificently Ugly work, as my pops used to say. I said that before for Angel vs Frankenstein II.

Any one of those demons would make for a nasty opponent. As a group...yikes!
