Just bought a sign for my lawn. Most political thing I’ve ever done. Not a lot of drive-by traffic on my street, but it’s the thought that counts, right?

Bloomberg is an enigma to me here in the South. But he's the only one currently running a hell of a lot of ads. Curious as to how the Democratic Party views him. I feel like they fears a Sanders presidency in a similar way that the Republicans did Trump. There’s an unpredictably about it. But I also feel like that while Sanders may do some uncomfortable things, he doesn’t want to burn us down for his gain.

How did Bloomberg get your vote? Can you share a bit about what tipped the scales?

I am not an American, but I would speculate that many Democrats view Bloomberg as another Trump, ie., a billionaire trying to buy his way into office. He has seen a pathway to become President, and must now preach a certain party's policies, even if they really do not fit with his past words and behavior, e.g., he was the face of NYC's Stop and Frisk practice, but now must court African American voters.

For 12 years Bloomberg was one of NYC’s best mayors. A spotless career? Of course not. But he did a lot of good in and for the city. And NEW YORKERS kept re-electing him!Anyone who can do that is well on his way to being a good president. (A billionaire trying to buy the presidency? If you like. But he’s doing it entirely with his own money.)

I think the main problem with Bloomberg from a Democratic point of view is that until 8 years ago he was a Republican. Complete with videos endorsing George W. Bush, Rudy Guliani, John McCain, etc. Said videos soon to be playing in a campaign ad near you once he fully enters the race.

Actually, Giuliani endorsed Bloomberg. Not quite the same thing.
Bloomberg is a centrist candidate who was a Democrat, then ran briefly as a Republican before switching again to Independent.
In this time of maximum corruption, I can see an argument for asking a strong, experienced independent to come restore some semblence of a political center.
The GOP is such a tire-fire, the nation has to look to the Democrats to represent anything left of Sean Hannity.

A big part of America's political problems is that it sees the center-right as the center and the actual center as the left.
Btw, to all those always complaining about the 'left-wing bias' of the media, how come they haven't all lined up to endorse Bernie Sanders? Even MSNBC does nothing but marginalize and bash him.

David, what a lot of outlets are forgetting regarding that audio is that it’s from a speaking engagement he had with Boris Johnson.

Seriously?? I'm a New Yorker and am well aware of Bloomberg's controversial role with “stop-and-frisk” while he was mayor. Didn't agree with it totally but crime in urban areas IS tough and we live in a “tough on crime” political world - so Bloomberg had to appear like he was doing something to solve the crime problem in NY.
ULTIMATELY, We can address all of Bloomberg's shortcomings after he's elected (If he even wins the Democratic nomination!) - along with a (hopefully) Democratic majority House AND Senate.
Let's stay focused - it's about winning, isn't it? Bloomberg's a hundred times better than Trump.
-C!
