That story was my first exposure to the New Gods. I read it 10 years ago when it was published in Italy, and I already was a Byrne Victim... But, actually, I never liked that story so much. It had a problem with the characters... Now Darkseid is one of my favorite DC vilalins, but in that moment I disliked him. And then, I didn't like to see my favorite author drawing these "minor characters"... I wanted him only on the big guns! Sigh, forgive my ignorance, I didn't know how important were the Fourth World characters.

By the way, I liked his versions of Silver Surfer and Orion. The finale was very good, too. I could re-read it, after all these years my opinion could change.
