I am not wholly convinced...

I'm sold on the Joker figure. I like the Batman, too, but if we're doing Dick Sprang, he needs Robin with him.

Very good point! I thought Batman should be smiling and have a broader
barrel-chest...!

A few years back I stopped DC from using my name on an action figure that looked nothing like my work. If Dick was alive today, it's not hard to imagine he'd do the same with that piece of sh*t.

I've been hoping for a Dick Sprang Batman for years.  I thought I was familiar with his work, but that looks nothing like any Sprang I've seen.

I'd say I will just have to keep hoping, but the release of these mean they will never release a real Dick Sprang piece.

The Joker...it's such a blah design. It's boring and the base is insanely large for the pose. So...if the series has a set base size..design a dang pose that takes advantage of the base size.

Although it is not based on anything done by Dick Sprang, I've long felt this 2001 Tim Bruckner statue had a fun, appropriately "Golden Age" feel to it... From the cover of Detective Comics #38, penciled by Bob Kane & inked by Jerry Robinson:

In 1996 Hallmark gave a try at DC statues. This was their "Golden Age" Batman attempt:

I like the design on this one, but it obviously loses it in the sculpt details. Still, there was a time when you could get this for around $30 on ebay, which made it one of those "eh, why not?" impulse buy for me. I will say that it looks better in person than the photo above. Thankfully, it's not that large of a statue.

And then DC Direct did these a couple of years ago to start off the licensing for the TV show products...

Dang, the sculpt is so soft. No fun in the details!

I've got both of those, Dave.  The Hallmark statue is greatly improved when you add the blacking on the front of the cowl and the trunks with a felt pen, which John was good enough to do when he was here a few years ago.
