Thanks James. Yeah, I can never understand why they're unable to anticipate the demand for something like that. Everybody would want the original Enterprise, so it's a given that they should have made a lot more available.

(In fact it's the same with the actual 'Doctors' in their Doctor Who figurine series. I've had a hell of a time getting the most recent ones..)

Haha! Thanks. I was gonna take them out of the shot, but then I thought maybe it'll give a sense of scale for anybody that hasn't picked up any of the starship collection.
But I do like the 'book' style of the old dvd cases..

After months of delays with the company from which I ordered it originally (Fairfield Collectibles), finally have the MiniChamps 1:18 scale Lincoln Futura in hand courtesy of Jim Warden, who picked it up from eBay as a B'day present for me! Thanks again, Jim!

Here's a comparison to the Mattel 1:18 Batmobile.

T'would seem the manufacturers have slightly different notions of what constitutes 1:18 scale.

More literal statues, on my "front porch" (actually the entrance portico, but I'm not THAT pretentious!) Tallest is about 5 feet.

Cool to consider the journey those stone statues have taken to get from wherever to your house there.

Just wanted to alert folks that if anyone had been waiting for the Eaglemoss Starship collection to finally reach the original tv Enterprise from the classic show, then it has now finally done so with it's 50th issue.

***

Since I missed out on ordering it, looks like I'll have to wait until it comes out in Japan under the Deagostini label. It is currently up to #34 with the Vulcan ship.

Don't hold your breath Bill - I'm STILL waiting for mine that I ordered weeks ago. This despite them publicly stating that they had a new stock.

James, the Deagostini versions of this line have been very reliable about their release schedules and stock (up to now). It may be another year before Japan gets caught up with the 50th Issue, but I've managed to pick up the early releases that are apparently no longer available thru Eaglemoss.

Mimbu's not talking about Godzilla. Again!

I can feel the Earth shifting on its axis!
