The Hayao Miyazaki directed TV anime "Famous Detective Holmes" (aka "Sherlock Hound") will soon have the main character in Figma form:

Now, if they ever release Professor Moriarty and his steampunk pteranodon plane, I'll be all over that...

Wow! I drew a "Sherlock Hound" character (with Dr. Woofson) when I was in seventh grade! Looked just like that!

The Godzilla Bank has been released in Japan, and we now have videos of it in action:

Got 2 already paid for, and should be in my hands by the end of the month.

Succumbed to nostalgia and ordered this, about 13" tall with base.

Altho the sculpt is very good, I must give the piece an overall negative review. It comes in a huge box, and is very heavy, but unpacking reveals that most of the weigh -- easily more than the actual statue -- is in the half "Bat-computer" that sits at the back of the base and, apparently, links to the same-sized Robin:

Since I have no interest in the Robin piece, this means the Batman is more expensive than it needs to be, including as it does large parts I won't be using. (Half a computer would look silly, plus it makes for an enormous footprint.

Ah, well!!

I have the Tweeterhead Batgirl on pre-order. Yvonne Craig praised it on
her website before she passed as the only Batgirl statue that looked
like her face, so I can't think of any higher endorsement.

I'm normally loathe to pre-order, having been frustrated so many times before, but I also ordered that Tweeterhead statue from Amazon, plus this somewhat more cartoony version:
