I read that as "Skrulls International" at first. Don't trust those guys!

Pricey, but you can now own an articulated replica of the giant Ohmu insect from Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind:

It's certainly large enough to intimidate my S.H. MonsterArts figures...

Sigh. I managed to restore Kirby’s original version of Galactus’ eyes, but they were immediately colored incorrectly, and that error has been perpetuated ever since.

(I will never understand the ubiquitous, worldwide POPS! phenomenon. They're cute and all, I suppose, but I just don't get why these things, of all toys or collectibles, have caught fire with diehards and the general public alike. In some stores, there are full walls of these little guys! Seriously, what is the appeal???)

Likewise Shaun. I’m even more baffled by the shops that have those walls. Multiply those figures by the individual cost & those walls become ridiculously expensive real estate.

POPS, for all their cartooniness, tend to be faithful representations of the classic characters. Look at the Fantastic Four, above. When did we last see THOSE GUYS in the comics?

That is a very good point that I had not considered. & may be part of the attraction.

All well and good, but... those button eyes! Some have 'em , some don't... some don't have mouths, some do...
Bah. I just don't get it. They kind of weird-me out.

Picked up the Pops Dark Phoenix and school uniform Cyclops. Both nicely detailed, but Cyke comes without a base, and cannot stand on his own!

Does Cyclops at least have a hole in his foot? At least then you can get a separate stand. Some Pops do not and only stand if you never move near them.

The pops do have those spooky dead eyes. I usually add a small dot of White-out as a reverse pupil.
