Met Katie Cook at a Reading Show and really enjoyed her style. Bought a Fozzie piece that she agreed to take home and color. Along with that, I commissioned her to do a reimagining of Amazing Spidey #169. I expected the pieces to show up about 6 weeks later.... it's been nearly 6 months, but I am very pleased with the results:

Funny thing is that is how Dave actually draws!  Amazing really when you think about that.

That picture of Paul was great as well.  Talk about a great weekend to get a full figure Loki from Walt!

The best part of these pictures is that Paul looks nine years old.  Nine.  Not one day over nine.  If you told me that was a picture from Paul's first day of third grade and Walt Simonson was his school bus driver I would totally believe it.

As many of you know I have been trying to put Fantastic Four #286 back together. Pages from the book don't show up that often and ones from the flashback even less, with there being only 4 by Byrne. I was lucky enough to get another in my quest. This is the first flashback page and the only published one by Byrne (the other three were redone by Jackson Guice). I really like this one as it retells the last moments on the Space Shuttle with the rest of the X-Men. The outline technique was just used to show Jean's memories. I am thrilled!
I am always looking for pages from this issue, 16 by Byrne and 3 by Guice. Email me if you have any. Thanks.

Awesome page, Brian! I hope you complete the book.

Thanks for posting the pic of Walt and myself. I doubt I look like I'm nine, but I sure felt like it.

Dave, the banners do look sharp. The pen up the nose....well you're still special in my book.
