Here's my most ambitious Baltazar piece yet. Kalibak, Black Racer, Mantis and Metron of the New Gods:

These sketch variant covers to the program were a really fun idea!

I really like the Fourth World sketch from Baltazar.
Was it hard to pay that 4x the single figure price? =P

My third and final sketch variant (thanks Mark!) went to Chris Sprouse. He said he thought this was his first ever Man-Thing drawing:

I said it before and I'll say it again. Joe, that is one impressive Man-Thing! Seriously, the Baltazar's are also awesome! My only regret was I never found the time to get a sketch from Art this con.

Cute little freebie doodle by David Petersen in my Mouse Guard hardcover:
Mouse Guard is a great comic for those who don't already know that.

Back in the late 80s there was a graphic novel, Parallel Lives, which follows Peter Parker's history and what was happening in MJ's own life. Many classic scenes are retold with art by Alex Saviuk and Andy Mushynsky. I always loved the first appearance of MJ drawn by Romita Sr, but that page is way out of my range and quite impossible to acquire. Alex did a great job re-imagining it as a splash in the GN. I picked up the back cover from Alex at NYCC and bought the splash but it was too big for him to bring to the con so he would send it to me later. I received it today and thrilled to own it, I had been after this splash for a number of year. Check it out.Parallels Lives #40 [

Here are my final two pieces to post from Mid-Ohio-Con. I'll start with a Chris Sprouse Darkseid that simply blew me away:
Sprouse was on fire. I stood in line for a full hour and watched him do an amazing Big Barda head sketch. This Darkseid turned out so good I had to get another from Sprouse on Sunday which turned into the Man-Thing I posted above.

And finally....along with the Mantis commission I picked up from Tom Scioli I would have to call this the masterpiece I walked away from Mid-Ohio-Con with...Barda by our own Uko Smith!
Ya'll can have your Adam Hughes convention sketches, I'm just fine with this amazing piece! Take a bow, Uko!
