I'm a big fan and regret that there aren't that many comics by him. I was really fond of his Xmen annuals. In the recent years, I didn't really care for Monkeyman  but I really loved Jonni Future. I wish there were more issues.

A single sentence that sums up Art's whole career.

Or, as Mike Mignola said, "If Arthur wasn't such a flake, we wouldn't have
needed Todd McFarlane."

I loved Art Adams' pencils.  One of my favaourite comics is the New Mutants special, solely because of him.  Was there any particular reason he didn't produce more?

Wow, that's funny- I was going to say that Art Adams was, to me, the earliest style most similar to the Image guys (the good ones, of course).

I think Arthur Adams is the artist Rob Liefeld was most trying to emulate. Adams is just a great artist and brought something new to the form, but in a way that was still very consistent with superhero comic book art. His art was a natural step from Byrne, Simonson and Perez.

I love Art's work. His Creature of the Black Lagoon is my favorite comic adaptation. While I love his covers, I'd love to see him do more interior work.

I copied every money shot in his X-men Annual (the one with the X-babies).  His graduation costume designs for the New Mutants were sheer genius.

The New Mutants Special and X-Men Annual's he did are some of my favorite all-time books.  I also loved the Web Of Spider-Man Annual he did with Spider-Man & Warlock.

I really like his art and thought that his work on Longshot was great but I agree with most of the comments here in the forum, he doesn't produce enough work to really be recognized for the great talent that he is!

Overheard a conversation between Art and a fan at SDCC this year.  The fan asked how his Black Canary commission was coming along.  Art said, "oh, yeah, I'm working on that, it's coming along nicely..."  The fan said, "...it'll be 2 years next month..."

I was in shock.

I saw him at WonderCon in 2003.  He spent the whole afternoon doing one drawing.
