This whole discussion reminds me of the retirement of Barry Sanders. A wonderful back to watch that retired way too early. Yes, I would have liked to have seen him play longer, but I'm thankful for the times I did get to see him play.
Same with Art. I might not get to see his work as often as I would like to, but I'm thankful for the opportunities I have already had.

Good call, Steven!
I get a Franklin Booth vibe from AA's recent work, but I think you got closer.

Heh...here's a Franklin Booth as well! I can see the similiarities. It's all
beautiful.

When I was a young fan, I found artists like Art Adams and George Perez very cool. I was crazy about their stuff jam-packed with detail (I didn't focus on story-telling or actual craft, simply pretty pictures), and remember clearly finding work by legends like Kirby and Kubert dull and boring.
I've completely flopped my taste in my 'old' age, and I'm very glad <g>.

IIRC, Art Adams knows he's slow which is why he doesn't do many projects. I love his stuff and the detail just as much as I love JB's, Jim Lee's, Portacio's, George Perez & Romita Jr.'s art.
