Just finished up Beyond Band of Brothers by Dick Winters. Trudging into The Commanders by Bob Woodward. Have also been cherrypicking through Silmarillion lately.

I stumbled across this book on Amazon; WOW, is this a blast from the past. I forgot all about these books, but I loved them as a kid. I also ordered Pillars of Pentegarn and Mountain of Mirrors. They were delivered today, and I just started reading the first of them.

Never a big D&D fan, but your post brought back some memories. I had several Marvel books, one featuring Spider-Man and the other DD vs Kingpin, that were "pick a path" books. Fun stuff! I'll post scans when I get a chance.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by Simon Armitage.
He goes a little over the top with the alliteration at times, but some artful use of language throughout.
