There's a future JB poker game commission out there with my name on it.  Judd, Ben, Logan and...?

That'd be awesome, Ryan!

Nick Fury's one possibility - I think he'd fit with the fact that all of them have had some military service. Or is that the case for Puck? Maybe I'm just blurring the fact that Alpha Flight had government ties.

Hawkeye's gotta be a poker man. Could definitely see him.

And if ever any gal was "one of the guys," it'd be She-Hulk.

It's rather amazing to consider that when I created Puck, circa 1983, he was meant to be 50 years old, and so would have been born around 1933! That would not really have allowed him service in WW2, tho me might have lied about his height and served in Korea. His meeting with Logan might well have happened there.

This is, of course, during my tenure on the book. I made no specific references, not wanting to tie him to any real world events that would stay fixed in time while his own lift kept sliding forward in accordance with whatever "rule" happened to be in place at the time. Thus, Puck today would not be too much over fifty, and that would put his birth closer to 1960. Perhaps he met Logan in Southeast Asia. There's always some kind of trouble brewing there.

Next: Judd and Logan in Desert Storm. . . .

I immediately thought of Hawkeye for the fourth seat, but I'd want them all in civvies.  Clint Barton isn't all that distinctive looking.  Maybe Reed, with all the chips in front of him?

Isn't Nick Fury usually at those games?

I like the idea of a wild card at the table, a female, How about Sue Richards?  I could see Sue keeping up with the boys or maybe JB's Wasp!

Also: Wallace, tell me what you think of Dr. Robert Fredrickson if you read one of the novels.  Shadow of a Broken Man is great, but my favorite is Two Songs This Archangel Sings, Fantastic!!!!  Not only was the Mongo Mysteries just like Puck, they were ahead of their times in the sense that it was X-Files like before the X-Files.  Almost every mystery started off simple and led to a dark corner of the Supernatural or ESP type stories.
