Leigh and Kevin - I know he stutters, but I'm not convinced this was that. nor do I think he was mentioning the host.
The sentence was 'Four more years of George ...of George ..'
That looked like my mother in law to be honest.
I don't think he is as big a risk as Trump is, but I do believe the risk is there.

With these huge numbers of early voting, I’m wondering if it’s simply all the people that are going to vote and no one shows up on Election Day or if the doors will be blown off the polling places with so many people showing up to vote.

I saw today that early voting was @ 66% of the total 2016 vote already.
That’s incredible.
These all get counted right?

I think the election results will be a complete victory for the Democrats, given these kinds of numbers. My (perhaps naive) hope is that the American people are sick and tired of Trump and his shenanigans and are coming out to vote in massive numbers to ensure he and his ilk are gone for good.
Remember Reagan's unbelievably decisive victory in 1984. Won't be that thorough of a spanking but hopefully something similar will happen.

Not if the Republicans have their way. If the election is close, there's going to be drives to get ballots thrown out in any swing state won by Biden. Here's an example.

The voter suppression is what scares this piss out of me. Especially with the massive amounts of votes already "in the system".

I was being sarcastic to be honest. I’m seriously worried that votes will not be counted, that counting offices will be stormed, that polling stations will Have armed terrorists present.
Look, I recently saw a picture of someone with a bible in one hand & a rifle in the other. If that person was a Muslim with a copy of the Koran, they would be called an Islamist terrorist. I see no difference to a ‘Christian’ acting the same & intimidating people.
Likewise, I see the surrounding of the Biden campaign bus by the Trump supporters yesterday as an act of terrorism.

I want a Biden victory, followed soon by Harris taking over. America needs a leader who is at least competent minded. I fear that Biden will want to hold onto the presidency as long as he can, to protect his family from the emerging Ukraine and China corruption scandal. His son is an absolute leech.

Or, how about just intimidating the people in charge of the early voting ballots?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2020/10/31/trump-bi den- live-updates/
QUOTE:
Trump campaign sought sensitive ballot security information from Pa. county, alarming commissioner
The Trump campaign sought highly sensitive information about voting security measures in at least one Pennsylvania county this week, alarming the head commissioner, who said he wasn’t comfortable responding to the request.
In an email sent Tuesday and later reviewed by The Washington Post, the Trump campaign asked officials in Cumberland County for the names of people who transport ballots and voting machines once polls close, the names of people who have access to the ballots afterward, and the precise locations where the ballots are stored, including room numbers.
The bullet-point questionnaire, sent from a campaign volunteer’s Gmail account, also sought answers on more generic issues such as where ballots are counted and whether information is wiped from voting machines. The email was first reported by the Sentinel newspaper.
County Commissioner Gary Eichelberger, a Republican, called the request intrusive and said that responding might disrupt election administration in the Republican-leaning county of 253,000.
“Our responsibility is to protect the integrity and security of the election,” he told The Post on Saturday. “I don’t know if the Trump campaign understands that, but they’re asking to do our job as the board of elections. And that’s our job, not their job.” He said he’d never seen a request like it in 16 years as an election official. |

Maybe we should have an election thread?
It seems the Democrats have a lock on the popular vote. If they do end up winning the popular vote, that will be seven times from the last eight elections. Given the inconsistency of that being reflected in the actual election result illustrates the rottenness of the electoral college.

The average of polls currently has Biden ahead about 51% to 43% in the popular vote. If somehow he manages to lose the Electoral College, he will likely set a new record for largest popular vote victory by an Electoral College loser. In each of the four previous elections in which a popular vote winner has lost the Electoral College, the margin between popular vote totals has never been more than 2.1% (which it was in 2016). The prior elections were even closer: 1876-1%, 1888- .8%, 2000- .5%. The fact that someone might win the popular vote by 5% or more and yet "lose" the Electoral College is indeed disgusting.
