The "melting Guiliani" is an image for the ages.  We'll be seeing various spoofs and parodies of that for the rest of our lives, I guarantee.

Apparently Donald Jr has tested positive for Coronavirus.

On top of that, Guiliani and some other members of Trump's legal team didn't attend the bs meeting in Michigan because they were exposed to the virus.

Annnnd....Trump briefly attended the G20 summit. But when they had the pandemic meeting, he was playing golf instead.

And a pardon for Michael Flynn. Trump calls him an innocent man.

The Republicans like to talk about the rule of law, but there is a similar pattern here to the way they have handled the election loss and Trump's lawsuits. To the press and on social media they say one thing, but in a court of law they tell a different story.

So the public message to their base is that Flynn is a man maligned, a man tricked by the FBI into confessing to something he didn't do.

In court, when directly questioned by judge Emmet Sulivan if the FBI had acted improperly or whether Flynn had been entrapped, Flynn's own lawyer said 'No, your honour.'

Here's what his lawyer said at the sentencing hearing:

'General Flynn has been, I think, clear from the
beginning and will be clear again to you today that he fully
accepts responsibility, stands by his guilty plea, which was made
based on knowing and willful conduct.;

Those two turkeys were just the beginning. Flynn and however many more cronies will all be getting pardons before January 20. Looks like a job for Frank Castle.

Covid-45 is talking about giving himself a pardon. That in itself is admitting guilt.

Let's say he does. That means 45 has willingly committed crimes.

Will that allow him to run again in 2024? Yes. He would be "cleared" of any crimes but are his followers that stupid to vote for him ( I know, "Does a bear shit in the woods?")

The fact that 45 may walk away scott-free is total bullshit.

Please SDNY? On Jan 20, at 12:01 PM, do something and make it stick. Even if is to put a smile on 80M+ voters.

Remember, James, he can't pardon himself for state crimes. Whatever
cases the state of New York are building against him, he has no power
over that at all.

True Brian,

But I have a feeling that Democrats, no matter what level, are going to wimp out and let him slide.

Don't want to "divide the country" and move forward and heal.

Yup. Federal pardons for federal crimes. But there are a lot of state and civil crimes that so many will fall into and knowing Trump will be a DETRIMENT, not a benefit. I look forward to Trump being ridden out of town on that rail, coated in tar and feathers.

I have been in a few discussions with a friend about how much forgiveness to show to Trumps supporters, political allies, enablers, etc. I can see overdoing it and causing animosity in some, but it is very tough to reconcile where that line is and how to avoid crossing it. How much can you forgive someone that showed no compassion for people crossing the border? Trumps enablers and others like Flynn deserve much more than I think they will get.

I don't think you can forgive them, nor would they care for your forgiveness - they haven't showed one bit of contrition. That said, the only way the country can possibly heal after Putin's mayhem is to move in a positive direction, maybe not ignoring the past but focusing more on the future. We can see if there is any justice left and how the Trump family navigates what should be a minefield.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

I have no desire to reconcile with people who are entirely too cozy with fascists, neo Nazis, white supremacy, “Proud” Boys, Trump family members and what these things represent.

I am quite confident I can navigate my life quite comfortably never bothering to extend a hand to a MAGA hat wearer.  And i refuse to be gaslighted into thinking I represent “the other side of the same coin.”

Sadly I think Joe Biden is going to expend a lot of energy trying to mend fences he didn’t break.  I get “why”...but I feel like it will be a waste of time.  The GOP will continue to operate as they usually do.  They will keep the division stoked.  They will be impossibly hypocritical.  They will block progress and make life hell for the Democratic President...unless the Georgia runoff gives the Dems the majority needed to pass legislation and make real progress.

In my widest dreams....Joe is just stringing Trump along making him think he isn’t planning to investigate him right into a Federal pen.  I hope Joe Biden spends his waking hours trying to bury Trump in the deepest hole possible.  Let Kamala do the rest.

The results are in from the recount that Trump's people demanded in Wisconsin's largest county.

Biden is up by an extra 132 or so votes!
