Assuming you could switch out those that want to stay in the US for those who want to go be with the MAGA states....Assuming the geography and technicalities are worked out.....what is the downside to the US being totally rid of the right wing conservative electorate?

Reading news of how Trump has been fuming over AG William Barr, and is considering firing him, I found it funny that one source says Barr has considered stepping down beforehand  and doesn't take being bullied.

Doesn't take being bullied? Yeah, right. If Trump wasn't going to be out of office,  Barr would take whatever Trump did to him and ask for more. Barr is Trump's b**tch. Too late for Barr to act tough,  after licking Trump's boots for so long now.

And he's only gone against Trump's wishes lately because he knows the game is nearly over for Trump's presidency,  so the ass kissing is soon going to be futile for him.

The problem is that the divide in our country is an urban/rural one, rather than a geographical one
-----------------------------------
The UK has a similar thing going on in terms of the left-leaning Labour party being heavily supported in urban areas and the right-leaning Tories gaining their support from rural voters (by and large). That's Democracy.

Could I make a request?  May we please "retire" this thread at noon EST on January 20, 2021?  We can then move on from the past 4 years.

York?

——-

If the last few weeks haven’t made it abundantly clear, we aren’t moving on from the past 4 years any time soon. One of the few things Trump was successful at was remaking the Republican Party in his image, and the current establishment Republicans are too chickenshit to take it back.

I find it quite interesting to reference this thread for historical purposes. The extent of the activities from this soon to be ended regime are startling when you scan over them in a few short moments instead of days, weeks or months. I shudder to think of the activities that did not make it to public scrutiny.

This is the part in Friday the 13th where Jason dies but there's still five minutes left in the movie. Don't count Trump out until the electoral votes have been cast for Biden.

Not until the majority of the Republicans reject him will Trump be counted out.
