If these were Black Lives Matter protesters storming the US Capitol, shots would have been fired and there would be dead protesters on the ground already.

I guess the idea is to create the false pretext of the crooked election, which leads to disorder in the streets, which then gets rewarded for the chaotic and violent situation self created with what... martial law... an extension to the current term to allow time to 'investigate'? A bit like burning the Reichstag, and blaming and fining Jews for Kristalnacht, for two well known examples of seizing or furthering power when not enough people actually did support or vote for you? Still more Mussolini, especially with the space force uniforms, but a Mussolini who was following events to his north. No Horst Wessel March in place of the national anthem either (these people 'love' America after all).
Yep, Putin must be one happy mob boss!

Trump ordered the DoD to deny the request by DC officials to deploy the National Guard.
A full blown coup attempt.... Trump's goal was to prevent Congress from formally accepting the electoral college count.
Outrageous.

What happened to that fellow here who kept insisting that Trump was only contesting the election results in order to reassure all voters that the process worked properly and that he would undoubtedly gracefully concede to Biden by Dec. 14th?
That prediction certainly didn't age well, did it?

Remember when POC stormed the Capitol back in June? Neither do I.
Yet, when we have peaceful marches, we're called savages and many times are shot.
There are hardly any LEO to protect Congress.
We are now the laughing stock of the world.

Seriously, I was open to giving some Trump voters the benefit of the doubt in 2016. Thinking maybe some people just really bought into that whole "successful businessman whose not a politician is what we need to drain the proverbial swamp and shake things up, etc." idea. Heck, isn't the very title of this thread based on the notion some had that, y'know, despite his bombastic nature during the campaign, once he was actually sworn in and got into that oval office he would appreciate the responsibility he's been given and would start to "act Presidential"?
But there's no excuse for those who voted for him in 2020. After almost four years of actually seeing how he's behaved in the office, the firings, the petty Twitter rants, etc., not only did those same voters from before but several million more all said "yeah, I want four more years of that!" That just defies rationale.

How does it feel to know law enforcement would gun your protesting ass down if you loot a Target....but you can bust out the windows of the UNITED STATES CAPITOL and get away with it.
