Islam is a legalistic religion. So they don't have priests, instead they have scholars of Islamic law. It's a religion run by lawyers. believe it or not.
With that in mind, when I read that declaration, while I should be optimistic, I turn to the fine print. It condemns violence, but only specifically for the purpose of imposing Shariah, or Islamic law. An attack framed as part of "defense" or "retaliation", like 9/11, wouldn't be covered by this.

Speaking of no-go zone, there is currently a real problem (or rather an existing problem which has amplified to the point of no return) about women being harassed in an area in Paris, next to "La Chapelle". Women are complaining that they are facing constant harassment by migrants and cannot get out of their homes. Well, all of this is TRUE as many french medias are reporting it and the government is trying to do womething about it (while trying to minimize it YET, I cannot find any news in foreign medias about it, except from sites which are clearly anti-migrants and/or far right (and therefore less inclined to be trusted by the average people). Well, this is real, and the silence from the "official medias" about it is really upsetting. Politically correctness indeed. No-go zones exist.

alone after dark in any inner city,they are not all
inhabited by migrants or Muslims!

Yes Bill, I agree.However, in that case in particular where all women are targeted, it is recent and this is going on day and night, not only after dark. There could/should be a parallel done withe what happened in Cologne on New Year's Eve in 2016.

My bad. I last checked 4 days ago. Now that I check back indeed there is a 2 days old article on the Guardian. That makes ONE article, and its title is formulated as a question : "No go-zone for women ?". Doubting much ?This affair started in the french medias about 3 weeks ago.

There is no point in restating that (presumably banned) poster's views on Muslims. The rest of us would just like to see further evidence that those views are incorrect.

Though the U.K. government are probably doing everything they can within the law, a terror attack every couple weeks means only one thing: they have lost control of the situation.
