There have been costumes of Colossus’s that just stopped at the top of the shoulder. JRjr did one. Art Adams did one. I’m sure others have. I liked it. More of the metal is always good.

I’ve been tinkering with the bare shoulder look for Peter. Just don’t want to be accused of copying!

I’ve never noticed Cyclops with the original visor before.

The Great Mystery of Colossus, of course, is why the blue parts of his outfit vanish when he turns to metal. Long before I was assigned to the book I asked Dave, thinking there might be some internal answer.

“Because it looks cool,” was his reply.

Nuff said!

That's a great classic true-to-comicbooks reply!

Dave. What a designer. I always assumed that was the only reason Peter's pants disappeared.

This morning I was doing a little doodling, getting ahead of myself again. I'm planning for the Avengers (circa 1980 vintage) to appear about mid-year, so I decided to revisit a favorite, as a kind of refresher course. I drew a headshot of the Scarlet Witch, and once again the feeling was that it was me from 38 years ago doing the layouts, and me from 2018 doing the finished pencils.

This continues to be a fascinating experiment, from my perspective.

(No, I'm not going to share the drawing!!)
