Will someone please explain to Mr. Soler that speculation is not allowed in this thread? Apparently he can’t hear me.

Speaking of Marvel Girl being made into a Woman, I liked the idea* of having Sue Storm go from Invisible Girl to Mrs. Fantastic instead of Invisible Woman.
*not my idea, it was in a letter column answer.

“The Invisible Woman’’ is a better superhero name for Sue, who deserves to have one that stands on its own. Besides, names that give an indication of the character’s powers (or shtick) are almost always the best way to go, with “Mr. Fantastic” being one of the relatively few notable exceptions. Although... “Mr. Elastic” doesn’t sound too bad...

What I keep coming back to as my excitement and anticipation for this project builds, is that this will be YOUR writing of the X-men from one of the most significant periods in the team's history. It's going to be great to "hear" Scott and to see how the character has evolved from his "voice" in Hidden Years. It's like when Alpha Flight appeared in X-Men compared to their depth of personality and true "voices" during their series

After continuing to immerse myself in all things relating to 1980 X-Men, including "The Art of John Byrne" (one of my most prized possessions at the time; and still to this day) a few more random questions (but again always searching for clues about the new series..)
1. Did you ever develop any other "New Mutants" besides Kitty, Caliban and Willie?
2. Back in the day, was there any plan to get the original X-men back together ala X-Factor?
3. So half a year out from starting "Pencil Practice", do you find it's become more "Writing Practice" ?

I still remember the semi-shock of seeing that one Kitty drawing in the Art Of John Byrne... talk about a 'What If' idea. :^D
I'm thinking at least Wolverine can be allowed to drink a Labatt's or smoke a cig again. It didn't feel like the real him with that stuff excised.
