It's something I always noticed and dreaded --- certain inkers rendering some of my favorite artist's work unrecognizable.
It's really funny to hear YOU say it because you've been on the receiving end so many times. I thought it was just "accepted" in practice.

JB served as "art robot" on a Superman story a while back, and the guy who inked the tale, though talented, overpowered our host's pencils. Years have passed, but I'd still like to see that story inked by our host.

Does the world at large know that the furry Beast was once a member of the X-Men before joining the Avengers? ***** I think it depends... I was "introduced" to the furry Beast first as an Avenger (the more mainstream Marvel title at the time) and later learned of his past with the X-Men. In recent years he's spent more time with the X-Men but I think even the movies have made him a forgettable member of the Avengers now.

What a true joy this story, and this entire series has been. Love seeing the M-Men come to life, happy to see Hank again, even this twisted version, and really eager to see the result of Pablo and Ashley joining the fight.
Thanks for continuously reminding us what a great comic should look like!

Ashley and Pablo deserve a round of applause--they had Beast on the ropes! Without that untimely intervention, the two kids might well have pulled off a surprise win.

JB, how does Magneto throw people around with his powers, from your perspective?•• It's been long established that he can manipulate the ferrous metals we all have in our bodies. Even to the point of controlling minds, tho I prefer to steer away from that one!

I actually made an "ewwwwwww" sound out loud when I read the description of Beast's shoulders dislocating .•• That SPOK sound effect is one of my favorites in my catalog. Most frustrating, working on NEW VISIONS, that I felt there was really no place to use it!

BTW, the reference to Magneto's "low, mellifluous voice" may strike a memory chord with some of the Forum's old timers. I have mentioned on more than one occasion that Chris used to call to give me dramatic readings of his scripts, and he would invariably do Magneto's voice as a variant on the Wicked Witch of the West.When Magneto became a "heroic freedom fighter" I asked if he still sounded like that.

Magneto's voice as a variant on the Wicked Witch of the West. ----------------------------------------------
That's so interesting! my mental "voice" for Magneto has NEVER been high-pitched.
closer to the voice actor for Magneto from the "Pryde of the X-Men" animated pilot from '89
